Sai Dharam Tej, nephew of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi, is making his Telugu debut with "Rey", co-starring Saiyami Kher and Shraddha Das. The film has been in production for over three years as it hit rocky waters due to financial issues. Its producer-cum-director YVS Chowdary could not fund the film's release on time.
Finally, "Rey" is expected to see the light of day in January 2014. Buzz is that Chowdary will be releasing the film around Sankranti festival period. However, an official confirmation is still awaited in this regard.
The film's audio launch is reportedly being planned in December first week. According to reports, Pawan Kalyan, who usually avoids social gatherings, will be attending the grand affair as the chief guest. Other actors from the Mega family are also expected to attend the event.
Sai Dharam Tej will be the latest member from the Mega family to join Telugu film industry. Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan and nephew Allu Arjun are among the most popular Tollywood actors. Apart from Sai Dharam Tej, one more youngster from the family is all set to make his T-town debut.
Varun Tej, son of Nagababu (Chiranjeevi's brother), will be making on screen debut in director Srikanth Addala's film. Confirming the news, Varun tweeted, "Hey guys.I want to confirm my debut film wil b directed by srikanth addala n wil b produced by Bujji Garu n Tagore Madhu.I'mSuper excited!:)"
While "Rey" is expected to release in 2014, Varun Tej's untitled flick is likely to go on floors in the same year. It remains to be seen if these two newcomers will be able to impress the audience.
