Anushka Shetty who has turned out to be the preferred choice for many Tollywood filmmakers for period drama’s, going by the grapevine, will be featuring in another historical film. This time the actress won’t be indulging any action blocks as opposed to her current productions ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Rudhramadevi’ which require her to hone her skills in sword fighting and other forms of ancient war practices. It is buzzed that Anushka will essay the role of Bhagmati, the Hindu wife of erstwhile emperor of Golconda region of South India Quli Qutub Shah.
Said to be a love story, ‘Mirchi’ producers Vamsi-Pramod who share a cordial relationship with Jejamma of T-town will produce the venture on UV Creations. To be helmed by ‘Pilla Zamindar’ fame Ashok, the project is expected to go on floors once Anushka wraps up ‘Rudhramadevi’ in April.
